Spokane gets a wave of mouse calls every fall. As the nights cool off, mice move out of fields, the river corridor and wooded hillsides and into basements, garages and wall voids, where they keep breeding all winter.
A lot of Spokane's housing is older, especially on the South Hill, in Browne's Addition and around Manito, with basements, rock or brick foundations and decades of settling. That leaves plenty of small gaps around pipes, vents and sill plates. Homes near open land in Five Mile, Indian Trail and the north side also see deer mice coming in from the fields.
We walk the outside of your home and check the garage, attic and crawl space for droppings, chew marks and the gaps mice are using to get in.
We seal entry points with copper mesh and sealant. A mouse can squeeze through a gap about the size of a dime, and it chews right through plain expanding foam.
Traps go inside, and bait goes in locked, tamper-resistant stations outside, so kids and pets can't get to it.
We come back to check traps and stations and keep going until the activity stops.
Mouse control starts with a rodent initial service: $349 when you start any recurring plan, or $699 on its own. Recurring plans start at $41 a month, and our 365 Pest Free Guarantee means that if mice come back between visits, so do we, at no extra charge.
See Your PriceOlder foundations settle and crack, and old utility lines and vents often leave gaps that were never sealed. A mouse only needs a gap about the size of a dime. Sealing those gaps is usually what stops the problem for good.

They can be. Deer mice in the Inland Northwest can carry hantavirus, which spreads through their droppings and urine. Don't sweep or vacuum droppings. The CDC recommends wearing gloves, airing out the space for 30 minutes, soaking droppings with a bleach solution (1 part bleach to 10 parts water) for 5 minutes, then wiping them up with paper towels.
